Pain to Recovery: Laxmi's Story

By Katha | Project Leader

Lakshmi, 62 yrs old housewife from Gairatpur Bas, spent her days caring for her family, managing household chores, and looking after her grandchildren. However, for eight months, she suffered from severe leg pain that gradually worsened into a sharp burning sensation. Standing for even 10 minutes became difficult- cooking, household works and visiting the temple nearby was impossible. She consulted several doctors in Badshapur and nearby towns, tried medicines, ointments, and home remedies, but nothing provided lasting relief. The constant pain left her feeling helpless and dependent on her family.

After visiting ANANDA Medical Centre, Lakshmi received a detailed evaluation where doctor carefully understood her lifestyle and  medical history. Fresh tests helped identify the root cause of her pain — nerve-related issues combined with vitamin deficiencies that had gone unnoticed earlier. The doctor helped her with a comprehensive treatment plan that included appropriate medicines, nutritional supplements, and physiotherapy sessions at Ananda. Regular follow-ups ensured her progress.

Within three weeks, Lakshmi experienced significant relief as the burning sensation reduced. After six weeks, she was able to complete her cooking without needing frequent breaks. By the third month, she regained her mobility and confidence and was able to walk to her local temple independently after almost a year.

Today, Lakshmi has returned to managing her home with the same energy and enthusiasm as before. She continues to follow her treatment plan and attends regular check-ups at ANANDA Medical Centre. Most importantly, she is now living a pain-free, active, and happy life with her family.
