This project provides a medical home for 1,500 high-risk pregnant women and 4,000 children in Nicaragua for 10,000 patient visits annually. In addition to providing clinical care, Clinica Verde offers health and nutrition education in a hands-on environment designed to promote wellbeing and dignity among our cherished patients.
We seek to bring high-quality healthcare along with nutrition and health education to families in need in the department of Boaco, Nicaragua. Through compassionate clinical care and education we can change the lives of young women, girls and families in this very needy region of the world while providing a model for others seeking progressive approaches to whole health practices.
We have built a sustainably designed health clinic for families living in poverty in Nicaragua. We take a preventive approach to the wellbeing of our cherished patients, providing not just clinical care, but nutrition and health education in an environment designed to support and improve health outcomes. Clinica Verde is not just a clinic - it's a center of community health that celebrates the dignity of all who enter our doors. A place where people want to go.
The project provides whole health care and education in an environmentally sustainable environment to 1,500 high-risk pregnant women and 4,000 children for 10,000 patient visits annually. Our goals include enhancing food security for rural families, increasing access and equity among patients served, reducing the rate of teen pregnancy and transforming long-term health status and behaviors through nutrition and hygiene education.
