With the theme "Support for physical and mental recovery for low-income workers in factories - industrial parks and children affected by Covid-19", after 10 months of implementation, there were 3,200 turns of people directly supported through activities: training, communication, online counseling, mobile health check-up, essential support for people affected by Covid, support for treatment costs for Covid-19 patients with severe underlying medical conditions, providing birth control methods and a set of personal hygiene products free of charge. And thousands of people have access to information and knowledge through the project's online communication channels and mass media.
Accordingly, the project has organized 12 communication sessions for employees, 1 training course for health workers and trade union officials of enterprises. At the same time, the project also organized a mobile health checkup (2 days) for 800 workers in Ha Nam.
The general examination helps workers detect potential abnormalities in the body in a timely manner. In addition, employees are also advised on nutrition, adjustment of working regime, lifestyle changes to eliminate risk factors for disease, and effective disease prevention.
In the past 5 phase, the project also implemented online support activities on psychology, nutritional care and reproductive health, connecting social services for workers, children (and caregivers). children) in need and has prepared an assessment report on psychological support services with a list of service facilities provided to beneficiaries through the project's fanpage.
The Fund for Vietnamese Strength has also completed and awarded 500 support packages worth 250 million VND to employees with small children affected by COVID-19, and the cost of supporting treatment for 5 workers infected with COVID and sick. heavy foundation with a total value of 25 million in Vinh Phuc.
In 2022, the implementation partners of the project "For mother and baby - For Vietnamese stature" are the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Hoa Linh Pharmaceutical Company and the Labor Confederations of Ha Nam and Vinh Phuc provinces. Funding for the implementation of the project is taken from the fundraising campaign "Spreading true happiness" in 2021 (with the participation of employees of TH Group & BAC A BANK) with the companionship of Golden Choice Company in providing free contraception. Besides, there is support from donors through the GlobalGiving platform.
In addition, facilitated and coordinated by the Confederation of Labors and the leaders of factories and industrial parks, communication sessions were carried out right in the premises of industrial parks and factories such as conference halls, factories to facilitate the participation of workers. Notably, most companies have facilitated employees to attend project activities during working time and still receive salary. This shows the cooperation of businesses in activities that benefit employees. Meanwhile, the media sessions attracted the participation of thousands of male and female workers.
Also on April 17, the project organized communication activities on reproductive health care at puberty for employees. In addition to providing knowledge, the project's health experts will help employees answer questions related to the child's development and guide how to deal with changes in the child's psychophysiology at this age.
