Up to July 20th, 2018 we have received $105 from three donors through GlobalGiving online fundraising platform, and $7,500 from DKT International, Marie Stopes, TH Group and the reciprocal of companies/factories with workers benefiting from the project. With this funding, in the months of May, June and July we have implemented activities as below:
- Project launch ceremony, and training for factories' health staffs and Trade Union staffs on knowledge and skills in providing information/ counseling on proper nutrition, reproductive and sexual health, and mental health care for workers (May 28th and 31st).
- Six communications sessions for workers on reproductive health and nutrition of women in reproductive age, one of which was conducted in collaboration with DKT International in Vietnam.
- Two-days mobile reproductive health check for female workers (June 9th - 10th). This activity was co-organized by Marie Stopes International in Vietnam.
Feedback after participating in the activities, the beneficiaries all said that these are significant activities. They have not only improved their knowledge and skills in nutrition and reproductive health care but have also been screened for reproductive health. In particular, many workers who have heard about this project have tried to register to participate in the upcoming communications sessions.
With such demand, in the coming time we will continue to gather the remaining activities including communications sessions and knowledge contest. However, in order to have enough resources to carry out these activities, we need more financial support from individuals and organizations. We would be very grateful if you could help us telling your friends and family about our project by sharing the link on your social networks, use the tell-a-friend feature on the project page to email your network, or just bring us up in conversation. With every $10 donation, you will help one worker to improve her/his knowledge and practices on proper nutrion, reproductive and mental health, thereby also reduce malnutrition and improve health for their children.
Sincerely thank you for your attention.
Best regards,
