One of our main concerns at this time in Bambi is to be able to provide medicines and quality medical attention to our 120 children. This is why we decided to create this project.
Medical assistance in the public health system is lacking basics equipment and doctors to attend the patients, so that, we have to take our kids to private hospitals where the kids can get the attention they deserve, but the costs are very high.
Thanks to our donors and to Global Giving, we have been able to provide vaccines to some of our kids and to take those who needed immediate assistance to a private hospital; like a girl suffering from severe malnutrition that had to be taken to the hospital to preserve her life, and a girl that had pneumonia and needed urgent and quality medical assistance, medicines and antibiotics.
We have 120 children and teenagers in our houses and we are responsible for their health and wellbeing, therefore we are grateful to Global Giving for the space that they offer to us and for all the contributions, we have received from our donors.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
