Continuing with the actions aimed to promote health, in partnership with another organization, we developed a dental screening day, to prevent and to attend the appearance of cavity and other oral diseases (gingivitis, infections, bleedings, halitosis, and others) among the children protected at Hogar Bambi, benefiting a total of 80 children and adolescents. Also, the medical team of the institution conducted preventive medical consultations of healthy children, maintaining the monitoring of cases and lab studies of the new children and of those children that have presented health problems. In the same way, the pediatrics department carried out the evaluations and the certifications of healthy children, required by the schools for the next academic year 2019-2020. At this time, medical attention is offered to a total of 94 children, tracking new incomes to improve their health because of the difficult health situation in which they come to the institution like malnutrition, lack of prenatal care and of vaccines. From Hogar Bambi, we confirm our gratitude for the contributions received through GlobalGiving and we hope we can continue counting on them so we can be able to offer timely and quality medical attention to the kids.
