We will be hosting a traditional Christmas Luncheon for 250 adult homeless member of the PE Metro. They will be brought in to our shelter early in the morning for a shower, a clean set of clothes and a haircut and a shave. They will then be treated to a full traditional luncheon, dessert station, tea/coffee bar. Father Christmas will be on hand to hand out gifts to all attendees. And we will have music, and games for entertainment. Healing Hands upholding the spirit of Giving.
Poverty and Homelessness is a huge concern within our Metro and during our work the destitute since 2010 we realise that many of them lack that feeling of family, care and belonging
In keeping with the spirit of giving, we intend to not just provide a decent meal on the day, but also a little bit of pampering. Having everyone sit together for a luncheon will also foster a sense of family and belonging.
Hopefully it will encourage hope within them and inspire them to not give up and show them that there is help out there and they are not the forgotten ones.
