The situation is still critical.
Two months after the earthquake, the 2,500 dead bodies have finally been buried. Now, our attention focuses on the hundreds of injuredwho still need care and treatments, without considering how the earthquake magnified the great poverty dominating the island.
On Friday, October 29th, a container delivering medical equipment, personal safety protection devices (like masks, gloves, and coats), rice, diapers, and canned goods will leave for Haiti. Destination: children, poor families, and hospitals.
We plan to send more food and equipment in the following weeks, alongside in-site interventions to sustain the hospital, Saint Camille, in Port-au-Prince and the city of Jérémie.
