On the last 24 of October, we had our first event in São Paulo to sell a local favorite: Feijoada, a local tradicional dish. But ours it was a vegetarian option, just like the food we serve our babies in Kenya!
With the help with our volunteers and a partnership with three brands, we sold 156 orders of Feijoada - 51 of them were donated to homeless people - and we were able to raise almost 7k Reais. This money will help Hai Africa with important demands, like to continue to distribute food in the Kabiria community to the families of our students and continue to have an open space for the Mamas to produce their crafts that we sell on our online store.
As always, Asante Sana to all of those who were part of this!
