Seven Year of Hai Africa
By Mariana Fischer | CEO

We are so proud of the 7th Hai Anniversary. This is a special date, as we reflect on all that has been done and can be sure we are on the right track.
It was not an easy or fast journey. Those last seven years were filled with great sacrifices and continuous challenges, but the indescribable joy to see so many people involved and families impacted has always made it all worthwhile.
Our hearts are filled with lightness and tranquility, sure of what we have built. We feel an enormous love for everyone who is generous and available to help us as we continue to transforme with love.
I, Mariana, clearly remember all the initial struggles living in Kenya in 2015. There were conflicts, health problems, difficulty with the local dialect, the desire to build a school but no money, the need to raise our funds, hold events, understand all the bureaucratic parts that involve running an organization in Kenya and Brazil. And, last but not least, to continuously learn how to deal with all the emotional burden that surrounds people in vulnerability.
But the joys and accomplishments of impacting so many lives have always been greater. And, today, we can finally say that we are the model school we have dreamed of. Every minute dedicated to Hai was and is still worth it!
Today I want to thank you for supporting us to continue our work. You have dreamt with us and helped us make it happen. I can not find words to thank you enough for such trust and kindness.
Happy anniversary, Hai! Thank you for being a space of love and a school that feeds body and soul. We celebrate your existence fuelled by love!

Hello, donor!
We would like to send some news about our project Hai Africa.
Since our last report, we continue working a lot to improve our work.
Our kids are studying, eating very well and our Mamas are working in a big soup stone request.
And since November 30th we are working on a big fundraising campaign.
Part of our job is to ensure that the children who graduate from our Center continue their education in one of the community schools. In Kenya, free public schools are nonexistent, and more than one-third of school-age children are completely left without education due to lack of financial support.
So we are fundraising the money to pay fees, food, schools material, and uniform to 51 kids.
We would like to say thank you for your support.
Asante Sana!

We are glad to inform you that our project is growing. In July 12 new 'Babies' joined our Kindergarten, and 40 kids started in primary school. So, now, we have 80 ‘Babies’ at school!
Our teachers finished one more Rudolf Steiner module, last month. This time the training was online, because of the COVID pandemic.
But it’s not just about the numbers. It’s about the many ways you make a difference by supporting our project. More than 150 families — including our mamas and employees — have food and education because you continued to show up and make a difference all year long.
Asante Sana,
