Worldwide there are over 100,000,000 children who are not in formal education. In August 2014, GVI Charitable Trust are running a global education drive across 3 locations in 3 countries simultaneously with the aim to improve educational facilities and infrastructure for children around the world.
Children all over the world go without a primary and further secondary education. As per the UN's Millennium Development Goal, the aim is to have all children of primary school age in education by 2015. This deadline is fast approaching. The ability to read and write should not be taken for granted. Yet even these basics are beyond reach for hundreds of millions of children.
The best way to fight poverty is through education. From 16th - 23rd August 2014, we are running a global education drive across 3 GVI locations in 3 countries simultaneously, with the aim to improve educational facilities and infrastructure for children around the world and desperately need your support to create the biggest impact we can.
By improving education facilities in these communities, we will increase access to high quality education for future generations. School offers children a safe environment, with support, supervision and socialization and helps promote gender equality, lowers child mortality rates and promotes concern for the environment. They learn life skills, may receive life-saving vaccines, fresh water and nutrient supplementation.
