On Sunday June 3rd, Guatemala's 'Fuego' volcano exploded affecting 1.7 million people, displacing thousands, and with a death toll of over 100. This fund will provide relief to individuals who have been impacted by the disaster in the form of long-term recovery assistance. We are partnering up with other local vetted organizations and private entities to give recovery support to those affected by the volcano.
1.7 million people have been affected, displaced thousands, and over 100 people have died. While many individuals and NGOs are offering dearly needed emergency help, we are working on creating a fund and partnering with other local vetted organizations and private entities to give long-term recovery support to those affected by the volcano. This fund will provide relief to families who have been impacted by the disaster in the form of long-term recovery assistance.
After immediate needs have been met, and the danger passed, those affected and displaced by the disaster will need to rebuild. All donations to this fund will be used in long-term recovery and relief efforts to those affected by the volcano. Together with other local vetted organizations and private entities the CasaSito family will help victims rebuild their livelihoods.
As a local organization deeply rooted in the community we have the potential to give aid where it is needed, and together with our local partners provide the necessary resources to help rebuild. CasaSito will post reports on how funds are being allocated and you can also follow our efforts through our facebook page.
