Seventeen-year-old Angelica resides in Pachay Village, San Martin Jilotepeque. Orphaned by her father, Angelica is the fifth child in the family. Her mother, Mrs. Josefina, has made every effort to offer her children an education to have a better future. Angelica is currently in the second year of high school; this year, she has had poor performance due to having myopia. When doing her examination, our eyecare advisor confirmed her vision problem and presented her with the appropriate lenses to help her see. Despite this, Angelica sadly indicated that her family had no money to pay for the glasses. Upon learning of her case, our advisors considered her a candidate to benefit from the donation of lenses for the International Day of Visual Health celebrated in October. Angelica was happily surprised and thanked GuateBuena and Grace Cares for the gift given to her. Thank you for all of your generous support! We could not do this vital work without you.
