Wonderful results of the fourth year

Dear our beloved donors,

For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) would love to thank you for accompanying the project “Growing up with mountainous preschool students” in its fourth year.

This year, the project at five school sites Na O, Khau Noong (Thach Lam Kindergarten) and Ban La, Khau De, Sang Xoay (Thai Son Kindergarten), Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province has been completed with remarkable results.

Nearly 63,000 semi-boarding meals (including lunch and afternoon snacks) have been given to 204 ethnic minority preschool students. Thanks to daily semi - boarding meals, 100% of the children attend school regularly, and their physical and mental health have improved significantly. On average, the children grew 4.1 cm taller and 2.2 kg heavier than at the beginning of this school year.

“...Fortunately, when my second and third children went to school, they were sponsored to have free semi-boarding meals. They no longer had to bring lunch to school, and still got better and more nutritious food. Therefore, they developed better and grew faster. I am very grateful to the Foundation and donors for helping my child and family” - A parent with 2 children studying at Sang Xoay school site shared.

On the occasion of the end of the school year, VSF organized a trip called “Sun shines in Pac Miau”, to visit and give summer blankets and rain boots to children at Thai Son Kindergarten, as well as give summer uniforms for children at Thach Lam Kindergarten. In addition, many other gifts such as toys, teddy bears, and candy were given to the children by the sponsors and volunteers of the project.

This July, we are continuing to raise funds to sponsor semi-boarding meals in the 2024-2025 school year in Cao Bang province. You can take a look via this link. We hope to keep receiving your love and support with the project.

Meaningful accomplishments of this school year

Dear our beloved donors,

The journey to support the semi-boarding meals of the Project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" in the academic year 2023-2024 has completed 2/3 of its path. To accomplish this mission, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation sincerely thanks you for your trust and companionship with the Project.

In the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024, over 30,500 nutritious meals (including lunch and afternoon snacks) were provided to 205 students at 5 schools: Na O, Khau Noong (Thach Lam Kindergarten School) and Ban La, Khau De, Sang Xoay (Thai Son Kindergarten School), Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province.

The delicious and varied meals provided daily serve as motivation for the children to overcome the cold and traverse muddy roads to go to school. As a result, both their physical and mental capabilities have significantly improved. On average, the children have grown 1.6cm taller and gained over 0.6 kg in weight.

In addition to meal support, the Project also sponsored improvements to the school facilities. Specifically, at Na O School (Thach Lam Kindergarten), the Project sponsored 02 TVs for 02 classrooms and renovated the playground. At Khau De and Ban La Schools (Thai Son Kindergarten), the Project sponsored one water purifier and a refrigerator for food storage. The total value of infrastructure improvement support for the schools is 55,000,000 VND. In the future, the Project will continue to sponsor to bring electricity to Sang Xoay School - the farthest school site of Thai Son Kindergarten.

VSF would like to provide some updated images of the sponsored meals at the schools. We hope to continue accompanying you on the journey of "Growing up with mountainous preschool students".

Warmly welcome the fourth year of the project

Dear our beloved donors,

For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF) sincerely thanks you for continuing to accompany the Project "Growing up with mountainous preschool students" in its 4th year of implementation in Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province.

From September 5, 2023, in the jubilant atmosphere of the new school year, all 209 preschool students at 5 school sites Na O, Khau Noong (Thach Lam Kindergarten) and Ban La, Khau De, Sang Xoay (Thai Son Kindergarten), Bao Lam district, Cao Bang province have received daily lunches and snacks with a balanced menu to ensure nutrition.

With only 1,700,000 VND/year/student (Equivalent to USD 75/student/school year), all the students will receive warm boarding meals throughout the school year, helping them improve their physical health, thereby contributing to reducing the rate of malnutrition and encouraging children to go to school every day.

In the third quarter of 2023, we have received love and support from over 20 donors, including donors Mai Nguyen, Deane Morgan, and Barbra Long, who have continuously supported the project. On behalf of 209 students of “Growing up with mountainous preschool students” this year, we are extremely appreciative and grateful to you.

The radiance on the children's faces and the happiness of their teachers and parents are the motivation for VSF to continue implementing and expanding the project in Cao Bang and other localities.
