Our Spay and Neuter Training Center is over 50% completed!
We are now hard at work to complete Phase 2 of the Center’s build out before winter sets in. Winters in the Beijing area can be quite harsh, so our additional goal is to hold as many spay and neuter events as possible before the cold weather arrives. During this most recent event, our dedicated team performed 102 spay and neuter surgeries in one weekend (10/31/25 - 11/2/25). Word spread quickly. Our Center opens at 8:00 am, but people began lining up as early as 7:00 am, eager to help animals in their communities (photo 4).
Beyond surgeries, the Center is already fulfilling another critical mission: training local activists to create long-term change.
In our last session, we taught safe trap-neuter-release methods to help humanely manage stray populations. During this visit, we expanded training to include basic animal care and grooming skills, empowering community members to care for animals with knowledge and compassion.
Thank you so much for caring and being part of the "end the dog and cat meat trade" movement.
With gratitude,
Andrea
