When one young girl from rural Kenya joined Moving The Goalposts, she dreamed of becoming a leader and playing football professionally. Like many girls, her days were shaped by poverty, heavy household duties, and limited opportunities. Learning and training were often cut short by unsafe, unreliable energy.
Through MTG, she found a safe space to grow on the football field and in leadership sessions. With access to clean energy solutions, MTG became safe environment and many possibilities of her accessing more opportunities due to the savings made from paying power bills. “Now I can train, study, and believe in myself,” she shared.
Support like yours makes this possible. By reducing costs and improving efficiency through clean energy, MTG can reach further. In 2026, these savings will help us recruit 6,800 girls from disadvantaged communities across rural Kenya girls whose potential is limitless when given light, safety, and opportunity.
