Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing goats to poor farming families. Time and again our goat dispersal project is found to be very effective in assisting poor farmers survive and generate food and income from goat farming. Aside from eating only grasses and taking care of them by pasturing, cost in raising goats is minimal compared to other animals such as pigs where you need to purchase feeds and vitamins in order to have income. Without proper feeding you will not be able to gain from the farming enterprise and the farmer gets discouraged. This reporting period, we encourage farmers to plant highly nutritious crops such as centrosema, flemingia and indigofera and they are very happy about it espcially that the plants are proven to provide high nutrients for the animals. We taught them that aside from feeding the leaves, they can also let the plants bear seeds for sowing in their farms in order to multiply the sources of feeds.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
