The Best Summer is with RISE Goal Card Program

This summer, the Goal Card program had the pleasure of hosting its financial literacy camp for 4th and 5th grade students at LaRose Elementary. Each day, participants experienced hands-on activities that introduced them to money management by learning about services provided by financial institutions while discovering the connection between saving and spending. Our participants had the opportunity to practice endorsing and depositing checks, managing a check account register, and check-writing practice. During the sessions, the importance of making and recording deposits was emphasized and students were introduced to the consequences of writing checks without sufficient funds. In sum, the Money Matters summer financial literacy camp sponsored by the RISE Foundation Goal Card program was a success! The participants were eager to learn and very receptive to the wealth of information that was presented!
