Dear Donors,
On behalf of the Australian Rainforest Foundation, thank you for being such great donors to this project. We have decided to merge many of the goals found in this project to our GlobalGiving project 'Protect Vital Rainforest in Australia for Climate' and we'll be sure to link you into this project's Project Updates.
Saving the endangered cassowary has always been the ARF's top mission. The cassowary is the 'Gardener of the Rainforest' and without the cassowary, biodiversity in Australia's rainforests would fall. The ARF is working very hard to ensure this never happens.
In the coming weeks, the ARF is going to introduce a new project to its GlobalGiving catalog and this new project will focus on reforestation efforts and endangered species research involving children and college level students. Using IT technology to collect and analyze data in the field will be a main component of this work by incorporating the Ethotrack animal behavior program into the work. In order to save our precious rainforests for the future generations, we need to include and educate the youth of today so they will be able to lead tomorrow. Your generous donations have helped us to get operations like this going, and this is work we have been engaged in since 1987.
Thank you once again friends. One final note: Our project 'Support Cyclone Yasi Rainforest and Wildlife Rescue' will be going back to its original title of 'Protect Vital Rainforest in Australia for Climate' this week as well. Cheers, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Paul Medici at medicipj2@yahoo.com or roger.phillips@arf.net.au.
Thanks Mates!
