"Please take me to school"

By Liz Mnengwah | Head of Programs

Dear friends and supporters,

We have had busy months in our education project. Children and young people from the street and the community have been actively engaging in the education activities namely,  Numeracy and Literacy, catch up and Supplimentarry.

In the month of June and July, we discovered there a children in the community who have dropped out of school and some have never been to school ever since yet they are tenagers already. Although the govenement provides free primary education, there are children who are still being left out due to different circumstances. GHK education project gives these children a chance to catch up.

The education project engages such children in the catch up education program which the end goal is to place them in a main stream education and increase rettention. As we continue to respond to these extreme situations, we are glad that there is a huge progress in most of these individulas. They have realised their academic abilities and want to push even harder. That's why we come back to you, we request for more support in order to continue supporting these wonderful children.

Should you require more informartion about our work, do not hesitate to contact me on my email.. liz@gladshouse.com.
