We are building a safe, permanent school for vulnerable children in rural Uganda. Many still learn in temporary spaces, and girls miss class without a private changing room. Your support helps us finish classrooms, a library, and a girls' facility so every child can learn with dignity, safety, and hope.
Unsafe classrooms, overcrowding, and the lack of a girls' changing room make learning difficult for children in rural Kabale. Many girls miss school during their menstrual cycle, increasing dropout rates. Without a permanent, safe school, vulnerable children remain at risk of losing their education.
Candles of Hope is building a safe, permanent school to replace the unsafe, overcrowded structures children currently use. The project adds strong classrooms, a library, a main hall, and a private girls' changing room. These facilities improve safety, reduce absenteeism, support literacy, and keep girls in school. This creates a dignified, stable learning environment where vulnerable children can succeed.
This project creates longterm change by giving children a permanent, safe school that will serve the community for decades. Strong classrooms, a library, and a girls' changing room will improve literacy, reduce dropout rates, and keep girls in school. As more children learn in a stable environment, the community gains educated leaders, reduced poverty, and greater opportunities for future generations.
