Dear Donnors,
The healthy integration of the born Cleft Lip and Palate children to their social environment and family implies additional actions to the merely medical treatments that could be practiced to these patients.
The support to the family and the one that it in turn provides to his born child with this condition, usually is more outstanding for the final rehabilitation and the indispensable complement for the development of the medical treatment to be truly effective.
In FISULAB we give much importance to a series of activities (additional to the surgical treatment, dentistry, speech therapy or psychology) which pretend to favor the development of social and communication skills in different scenarios of community participation for the patients, including the participation of their families; vocal exercising workshops which reinforce main aspects in their language skills being able to be part of the institutional chorus that represents Fisulab in some events, among others. All of them contribute to the self-esteem and children´s security, also giving the family tools for acceptance and necessary support for a harmonious integration with the various spaces of social interaction: school, work and friends, among others.
Please find enclosed Fisulab´s annual activities report for 2015.
Thanks again and hope to continue with your support.
