Springtime tend to be very busy for our 15 men. We created products for Bulgarian traditional holiday – Baba Marta /celebrated on March 1st /. We made beautiful martenitsa – made from white and red threads and corn husks.
After that we started to prepare products for Easter – small cute and fancy baskets and garlands. The funniest part was egg painting – men were very excited to combine different colors and materials with special technique – decoupage, and also to color eggs with marble paint – and the effect was just great. NAVA`s volunteers were an integral part of all activities and helped men in making the products.
We prepared presents for Easter - baskets with painted eggs it them and garlands also arranged with eggs. They were met with great interest and we sold them all to companies` and institutions` servants in Plovdiv and Sofia.
Our next idea is to make attractive products for summer but that will be a surprise. Stay tuned for more information soon!
