Middle School & Junior School Section

Dear Friends and partners,

We have taken off into the year 2025. Here is an update of where we are as at 25th February 2025.

Enrolment:At the start end of last year, the school was serving 105 students. As of 31st January 2025 we had enrolled 115 children, 64 boys (56%) and 51 girls (44%). We currently serve 116 children as of February 25th 2025. We aim to grow this population throughout the 2025 school year.

  1. School Highlights

-           Lab construction is almost completed

-          Construction of Grade 9, A Home Science room and an infirmary were completed in January 2025.

-          Learners participated in the election of their school leaders.

-          The Parents Teachers Association of about 20 members also met early in the year to chart the way forward for the school year.

-          We received two new teachers into the school to teach Junior School

  1. Challenges

-          The school is facing difficult financial challenges as government taxation continues to rise.

-          Costs of compliance and meeting regulatory requirements continue to burden the school.

Students continue to pursue their interests through clubs and sports as per their preferences with many joining Chess, Art, E-STEM, (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Performing Arts, Scouts, and Environmental Clubs.

  1. Opportunities

We relocated our library to a new room so that accessing books becomes easier. This has positively impacted the reading culture in the school.

We purchased a stabilized block-making machine to aid us make building bricks that will ensure we construct a safe perimeter wall.

As capital costs increase, there is opportunity to develop third-stream income sources that will support the running of the school. This we will pursue at school level as we also work with friends and supporters through our GlobalGiving page. I want to urge our partners to consider doubling their current giving to help us fulfill the mission to serve children in need.

Thank you for your contancy in supporting the work here in Kenya!

Asante! Thank you!
