Update on the progress report on

By Samuel Akaraonye | Founder/CEO

This report highlights the activities, progress, and community support efforts carried out under the Give Succor & Refuge to 150 Homeless Poor in Nigeria project (ID: 54364).

The project remains focused on supporting vulnerable and homeless individuals through humanitarian assistance, food support initiatives, and social enterprise-driven interventions aimed at restoring dignity and hope to underserved populations.

2. Appreciation

We sincerely appreciate GlobalGiving for providing a platform that enables grassroots initiatives like ours to remain visible and connected to compassionate supporters around the world.

Although we did not receive financial donations during this reporting period, we remain grateful for the continued opportunity to share our mission and impact.

3. Funding Status

During this reporting period, the project did not receive external financial donations.

However, despite limited resources, we remained committed to the mission by leveraging our social enterprise initiatives to continue supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.

4. Social Enterprise Support & Humanitarian Efforts

Through our social enterprise activities, we provided in-kind humanitarian support to vulnerable persons within the community. These interventions included:

  • Food assistance support
  • Nutrient-dense food samples
  • Community care outreach
  • Basic relief assistance for vulnerable individuals

Our commitment to humanitarian service continues even in periods of low or no funding. We believe that every effort, no matter how small, contributes to restoring hope and dignity to those in need.

5. Community Impact (Estimated Reach)

Despite the absence of external donations, the project achieved meaningful grassroots impact through internally supported efforts:

Estimated Reach

  • 20–35 vulnerable individuals indirectly reached through outreach and food support activities
  • 5–10 homeless or low-income persons supported through in-kind assistance
  • Community awareness strengthened around compassion, humanitarian support, and food insecurity challenges

Social Enterprise Contributions

  • Continued development and sharing of nutrient-support food products
  • Volunteer-driven support and humanitarian engagement
  • Sustained commitment to community-centered interventions

6. Challenges

The major challenge remains limited financial support, which restricts the scale of outreach, shelter support, and humanitarian interventions that can be provided to homeless and vulnerable populations.

Additional funding and partnerships will greatly improve the project’s ability to expand assistance and reach more beneficiaries.

7. Prospects and Future Plans

Looking ahead, we aim to:

  • Expand humanitarian outreach activities
  • Increase food and relief support for vulnerable individuals
  • Strengthen partnerships and donor engagement
  • Develop sustainable community-based support systems through our social enterprise initiatives
  • Continue advocating for the welfare of homeless and underserved populations

We remain hopeful that future support will enable us to scale our impact and provide broader assistance to those in urgent need.

8. Conclusion

Even without external funding during this reporting period, our commitment to serving vulnerable communities remains unwavering. Through resilience, compassion, and social enterprise support, we continue to provide hope and practical assistance where possible.

We sincerely thank GlobalGiving and everyone who continues to believe in our mission and humanitarian vision.

With sincere gratitude,

Sam Onyemaechi Humanitarian Foundation
