In this Project report we want to share with you some achievements in different areas: recreation academic performance, nutrition and family training; they would be impossible without your help and support.
Recreation and sports:
In the recreational area we had a trip to DIVERCITY, one of the most recognized theme attractions for children in Colombia, where they get to role play in many areas (bankers, doctors, fathers…). The children also had the chance to go to the stadium and witness the football game between two popular Colombian teams: Nacional from Medellín and Junior from Barranquilla.
One of our cultural activities of this period was a walk throughout important places in the city: San Ignacio Church, Berrio park, a subway station and an important monument built to Rodrigo Arenas Betancur.
Furthermore, the children participated in the activity “Sports makes us friends” enjoying different sports and values related to the importance of friendship.
Academic performance and nutrition:
We already got the results from the second academic period of the year, these reports presents big achievements in all the children, all of them passed with great grades their second period.
The projects “Exploring the web” and “Promotion of reading” strengthen their motivation for computers and books.
Activities with Families:
Educational workshops were developed with the participation of families regarding the following subjects: Economics for the family, Healthy nutrition, Prevention of illness and promotion of health
Families elected their candidate for the institutional government; this is an important activity that involves families in the process of restitution of rights of their children
Pedagogical activities:
Within the project “Building with my hands”, the children developed different art instruments such as origami flowers and birds. These products were given to their mothers as part of the celebration of the mother’s day
The football world cup allowed multiple activities among the children which enhanced their patriotism and interest in the different cultures of the participant countries.
14 year old teenager Johan Sebastian Ferraro shares with us the following testimony:
“I dream with becoming a leader that can influence the people in Colombia that are most in need. The most important thing is to always carry Superarse in my heart and all the people who support my mother”
Once again, thank you for believing in our cause, thanks to you, these children dream and build paths of hope and happiness.
