Protect 50 children with safe housing in Medellin

"When I was 8 years old, my father abandoned my sister, my mother and me, leaving us in poverty, a great void, and many responsibilities for my mother.  She had to look for work and had to leave us alone and exposed to many risks.  I took advantage of "the freedom" I had and at the age of 10 I was living on the street, I had bad relationships, I began to consume many drugs, so many that I don't even remember the names, I lived horrible moments, I lost friends to drugs; Some died from overdoses, others from robberies that went wrong, and others ended up in jail.

At 12 years old, worried about my situation, my mother sought help from SUPERARSE. It was here where my life began to fill with color, they welcomed me, taught me discipline, fed me and taught me to study. For me, the people of SUPERARSE changed my life and my way of seeing the world. They showed me a different path, where I saw light and hope, which allowed me to quit drugs and focus on studying.

At 16 years old I became pregnant and learned true motivation. My son became the driving force that drove me to fight for myself and for him. With the guidance of the SUPERARSE youth program, I decided to study social work. They helped me look for a university, in 2018 I started and now I am close to graduating.

At 26 years old, I still have the support of SUPERARSE. They continue to support me with personal growth workshops, strengthening life skills, creating a resume and help in finding employment. For that, I will always thank you, since thanks to SUPERARSE I am who I am, and they inspired me to help others."
