It is tradition to open your Ramadan fast with a date. We appeal to you to donate dates (khajoor) for orphans in Pakistan to open their fasts.
Most Pakistanis Orphans fast in the month of Ramadan as is mandatory in their faith. The tradition and sunnah (blessed tradition) is to open the fast with a khajoor/date. This is a luxury not available to most orphans who eat very humbly and even less so when fasting without food or drink all day for 30 days. This project has been created to give the orphans something nutritious, filling and considered blessed with which to open their fasts.
Funds will go to ensure delicious dates are delivered and given to orphans this Ramadan. 30 khajoor per orphan, so one for each day of fasting.
Orphans will be fed nutritiously and happily and included in traditions that most Pakistanis have in the month of fasting. It will help their well-being, health and self-esteem.
