Dear Supporters,

Warm greetings from Jabal-E-Nur Development Society (JDS), and thank you for your continued support and compassion.

Since 2007, JDS has been working to support orphaned and vulnerable children in Khoksa Upazila under Kushtia District, Bangladesh. Through our residential facilities and family-based support program, we provide safe shelter, nutritious food, healthcare, and access to quality education. Our goal is to ensure that every child grows up in a caring and protective environment that nurtures their physical, emotional, and moral development.

In many rural communities, orphaned children continue to face severe challenges, including poverty, lack of education, child labor, and social vulnerability. Through the “Give Hope to Orphans in Bangladesh” project on the GlobalGiving platform, we aim to strengthen our efforts and ensure sustainable support for these children.

Quarter Highlights (January – March 2026)

The first quarter of 2026 has been an active and meaningful period for our children:

New Academic Year: Students received new textbooks and learning materials, marking a fresh start for the academic year.

Winter Support: During the January cold wave, JDS distributed warm clothing to both residential and family-based children to ensure their comfort and well-being.

Sports & Cultural Activities: Students actively participated in various sports and cultural competitions organized at the upazila and district levels. These activities helped enhance their confidence, creativity, and teamwork skills.

Ramadan & Eid-ul-Fitr Celebration: JDS organized Iftar gatherings with nutritious meals during Ramadan and provided new clothes for Eid, allowing the children to celebrate with joy and dignity.

These initiatives not only supported the children’s basic needs but also contributed to their overall growth, happiness, and social inclusion.
