The Beagle Alliance has secured the release of 50 former research beagles who will now go from Lab to Love during 2025! The journey starts NOW, and we want to share their journey with YOU. Their first steps, their first toy, their first family. 50 Beagles is a lot, so we have plans to create the LAB LOVE LIBERTY Beagle Enrichment Center - for the dogs who need some extra special help or a soft landing on the way to their forever homes.
We are a foster based rescue. When we receive a call to place former research beagles into homes, the number of dogs we can save is completely dependent on having fosters immediately! We desperately need to be able to say YES to every single dog coming out of research - and that means having a facility, where they can be safe, be free - be dogs, until such time that we find them their perfect forever home. Their lives literally depend on it.
A former research dog enrichment centre will allow us to save more lives! It will also give dogs who need some extra training or time to decompress after being harmed in research for so many years, a place to learn how to be a dog.
This facility will not only give The Beagle Alliance an opportunity to socialize dogs and get them ready for their new found freedom, but will allow us to educate visitors about animal testing and animal free science, which fosters greater compassion. We look forward to engaging with our community, including students and volunteers.
