From Eid al-Fitr to Eid al-Adha: Help Us Dress 100

By Heba Altouma | Program Coordinator

Eid al-Adha 2025
Eid al-Adha 2025

During Eid al-Fitr 2025, thanks to your generous support, the Cooperative for Building and Change (CBC) was able to bring joy to the hearts of 70 orphaned children by providing complete Eid clothing in two cities:
- Afrin: 30 children
- Deir ez-Zor: 40 children

This initiative was more than just distributing clothes. It was a message of solidarity with widowed and caregiving mothers, allowing them to stand strong for their children and helping those children feel equal to others in the community.

Goal for Eid al-Adha Phase:

We are now launching the second phase of our campaign to provide Eid clothing and symbolic gifts for 80 to 100 additional orphaned children in Deir ez-Zor — a city that remains among the most devastated in Syria, with over 90% of its infrastructure destroyed.

Each child will receive:
- A full Eid outfit ($25)
- A small symbolic gift or Eidiya ($5)
Location: Deir ez-Zor, Syria
Total budget required: $2,000 USD

Why this campaign matters:

This effort is not just about clothes. It is about:
- Empowering caregiving women to support their children with dignity
- Restoring children’s confidence and preventing feelings of exclusion during the holidays
- Creating opportunities for community inclusion and social healing through small, meaningful actions

Every donation is a step toward restoring childhood joy, community cohesion, and human dignity.

Only 9 days left until Eid al-Adha – Donate now to help us reach these children in time and bring them a joyful and dignified celebration!

With deep appreciation,
The Cooperative for Building and Change (CBC) Team
