To provide access to outstanding diagnostic and specialized education for children and adolescents with autism. When a child develops the skills to become more independent and autonomous, his family dynamics get better; The professionals that serve them -and their families- benefit from the opportunity to work and thrive. As a result, the well-being of all parties involved improves.
The Pandemic limited in-person attention these past two school years. Many children and adolescents with autism have faced developmental and intervention delays. In addition, the cost of living has risen (i.e., 2020-2022, 119% in US dollars), and we expect financial support to be the decisive enrolling factor for as many as 90% of those applying to our in-person programs. How do we ensure the well-being of our families today and tomorrow?
To facilitate and develop each student's independence and autonomy, we have increased our diagnostic capabilities and are operating at total capacity in our in-classroom psychoeducational program. To ensure sustainability, we are hiring and training more teachers and psychologists, developing a new generation of specialists in the area, and additional / younger talent within Autismo en Voz Alta. In 2022-2023 our goal is to serve as many families as we did in 2020 when Covid hit.
Continue to operate, provide, and introduce educational services to address the developmental needs of those with autism, with access to need-based financial support. We are committed to moving forward, learning, and improving. We seek to develop the skills of children/teens with autism and their families to facilitate their effective integration into society. For many children with autism, we are the only educational alternative in Venezuela. Your trust and unwavering support motivate us.
