Kathy's Kindergarten continues to thrive in Mayuge. With 73 children currently enrolled, we are proud to be giving young learners a strong foundation and an early start toward a brighter future. At the beginning of the year, we welcomed 26 new children into baby class. As we move through the second term, the progress they have made has been truly encouraging. Many of these children arrived on their first day in tears, with limited vocabulary and no prior school experience.
Today, they have grown in confidence, are actively participating in class, games and continue to make remarkable progress every day. One of our greatest joys is hearing from parents who tell us that their children wake up excited to get ready for school each morning. This enthusiasm reflects the safe, nurturing, and engaging environment we strive to create. We are deeply grateful that you continue to be part of this journey.
Kathy's Kindergarten has built a strong reputation for nurturing children in ways that inspire parents to entrust us with their younger siblings as well. A wonderful example is Jeremiah, who graduated from Kathy's in 2025. Encouraged by the transformation they witnessed in him, his parents later enrolled his younger sibling, Jovan. Jovan's journey is a powerful example of the impact of early childhood education. He began the term crying, running out of class, and struggling to settle into the school environment. Today, he is happily participating in class and has begun learning how to hold and use a pencil, an important milestone in his development.
Looking ahead, our children will take part in an educational and recreational tour to Jinja, where they will visit kimaka airstrip and a mini zoo in Jinja, the final destination being a fun kids park. These excursions provide children with opportunities to explore new environments, broaden their understanding of the world, and strengthen their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Beyond classroom learning, Kathy's Kindergarten works closely with parents to strengthen the bond between families and their children while encouraging active involvement in their education. As part of this commitment, a parents' meeting will be held on 16th July to discuss children's learning and development, while also equipping parents with valuable parenting knowledge and skills.
All of these achievements have been made possible through your unshakable support. Your partnership enables Kathy's Kindergarten to continue nurturing young learners, building their confidence, and preparing them for a brighter future. We sincerely thank you for investing in the lives of these children and for being an important part of their journey.
