Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A), after consultation with different stakeholder groups and through experience working with different communities across Cameroon, I.A.A identified water crisis as a cause of poor health and infant mortality, which is further compounded by climate change, COVID-19 and poverty. This project was designed to improve community health and well-being by providing clean and safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to communities in need across Cameroon.
The goal of the project is to create equal access to water and sanitation services to the under-served and excluded population, to improve health and livelihood of over 15000 people in 30 villages within 24 months. Currently, the project has rehabilited a 10km pipe line to renew water supply to 3000 people in Kingoment village in Bui Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon.
The immediate challenge that the project faces as of now is lack funds to continue, the total estimated cost of this project is $100,000 and I.A.A has just raised $101 through GlobalGiving which is significantly low to deliver the project within the specified duration. I.A.A still need $99,899 to go. I.A.A welcomes donation of any amount to make a difference in the lives of people in need of clean and safe drinking water.
I.A.A will continue to apply for funding opportunities from foundations, development agences and institutions, including individual donotions made through GlobalGiving and maximixe local fundraising efforts to reach the project goal within the specified duration.
