Students of Tambak Elementary School in Pangasinan enjoy their desk chairs made from upcycled sachets.
The Tibayanihan Upcycling Project is an initiative implemented in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) that aims to help address the need for chairs in public schools in the Philippines through the upcycling of empty BEAR BRAND® Fortified packs* into school chairs. Through this initiative, we not only help improve schooling conditions in the country but also positively impact the environment.
Using collected used BEAR BRAND Fortified packs from schools, it will go through the process of upcycling that converts used packs into school desks and chairs, coined as Tibay Chairs, that we will provide to schools in need. With your sponsorship in helping subsidize the cost of upcycling used packs to Tibay Chairs, more and more schools will be endowed with chairs to provide better schooling conditions to public school students.
