This project will provide a secure environment for vulnerable and at risk orphaned and foster children to grow and thrive in. The foster village they live in is currently unsecured and the children are not safe from intrusions by strangers and stray dogs. Help us to help them by giving us the means to secure their village with a wall and security gates so that they can live and play in safety.
Our foster village provides loving homes for 18 vulnerable and orphaned children. The children receive love and care from their foster mums, but they don't feel safe in the village as there is no perimeter security. Strangers walk past and sometimes through the village regularly. In recent months intruders have stolen our bus and broken into the office and stray dogs have become a big problem bringing the risk of rabies. Our children are currently not able to live and play at home without fear.
Our plan is to build a concrete block wall around the village so that the children are safe and secure and can play and interact with each other without the risk of intruders coming onto the property at any hour of the day. The wall will have a vehicle access gate and three pedestrian access gates to allow access to other areas of our property. The wall will be approximately 220 meters long.
Most of our children have already suffered a lot of trauma in their young lives and it is an acknowledged fact that trauma impacts the development of children. Having a safe and secure environment to live, grow, play and learn in will ensure that our children have every opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
