Some of the communities in rural Angola are buzzing with excitement. Construction of their new schools is nearing completion. The schools will soon be turned over to the communities and the Ministry of Education and classes will begin. This has become a reality because of your help!
Our Executive Director and Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator are currently in Angola visiting these sites, gathering information about the students and taking photos to share with our supporters. They are also meeting with the RISE Angola leadership, visiting prospective project sites where children are schooling under trees and in makeshift corrugated classrooms.
Education is a basic right that all children deserve. There is so much more work to be done and we will continue to provide the buildings where students can learn to read and write. Through the Little by Little Matching Campaign, GlobalGiving will match eligible donations up to $50 at 50% while funds remain, or until the campaign ends at 11:59pm ET on Friday, April 13th. A little bit goes a long way. Together we can bring hope to the children of Angola.
