We are grateful to share with you our June 2019 SDG Report. This as organised to Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”. SDG 16 is both an end in itself, and a crucial part of delivering sustainable development in all countries including Sierra Leone.
In our project communities, we have been facing issues that need attention. To address these issues, we held a 2 day conference on SDG 16 that convene CSOs in the country to set up a platform to address issues of Peace and justice in our communities. Peace with justice is a way of thinking and acting which promotes nonviolent solutions to everyday problems and thereby contributes to a civil society. It sets standards for the security of children and for primary health care and promotes an end to the violence of poverty. This makes life possible in our complex, civilized society. It attempts to enforce fairness and righteous behavior, and provides a system for punishing those who violate it more especially the rate of forced child marriages that causes girls to drop out of schools and bears children that they cannot be able to care of. Our community people should benefit from the freedom of expression, choice, living without fear and right of worship as long as they are within the law and these are all important driving forces for development.
We are in need of more contributions to help our beneficiaries access their basic rights.
