Girls' Voices is intended to raise funds for girls' secondary education through media made by girls. Our goal is for girls around the world use the power of digital media to create images and videos that can communicate their strength and potential to the world. The media that the girls create is shared here with the intention of raising funds that will directly contribute to scholarships for girls facing financial barriers to completing secondary education.
Every child deserves a high-quality education. Yet even today, barriers still exist for girls to achieve their basic right to go to school and remain in school. Right now more than 62 million girls are not in school, and 32 million secondary-aged girls are missing out on their education. This is the direct result of cultural, social, and economic barriers that stand in the way of girls who want to learn. We are just $1500 away from reaching our initial goal of $6,000 to send 9 girls to school!

Girls' education is a viable solution to ending world poverty. When 10% more girls attend school a country's GDP increases by 3% on average. A girl with one extra year of education can earn up to 20% more as an adult. Statistics are undeniable that educated girls are less likely to marry early, less likely to acquire diseases, more likely to send her children to school and be better prepared for natural disasters. YOU can play a huge role in the solution!
