Dear Donors,
We are pleased to share an update on the progress of our Girls in Tech program and the educational opportunities we continue to provide to young women in Japan and the Philippines.
Through our partnership with Girls in Tech, we are holding weekly classes that focus on developing essential digital skills, including computer programming, project management, Digital Citizenship, and English language learning.
One of our instructors, Daniel M., has been focusing on traditional computer programming and project management. His students have made excellent progress, becoming increasingly confident and capable in using advanced programming tools. As technology continues to evolve, Daniel is also preparing his students for the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI). Although AI is not currently used in his lessons, he has introduced a new teaching approach inspired by the concept of prompting. Rather than relying solely on complex programming interfaces filled with predefined tools, students are encouraged to approach problems with the mindset of starting from a blank page.
This approach challenges them to think independently, analyze information, communicate their ideas, and explore creative solutions. By learning how to build something from the ground up, the students are developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will help them navigate an increasingly technology-driven world.
Alongside these lessons, we continue to support students in Digital Citizenship and English. We are also proud to showcase the creativity and technical skills of students who have developed their own games, which can now be viewed in the galleries on our website.
