New teachers, growing community
Dear Donors,
The Girls in Tech program is growing, and so is its team. We are thrilled to welcome Genesis and Rhea as our two new female teachers in the Philippines, bringing fresh energy, expertise, and lived experience to the girls they work with. Having women at the front of the room matters. It sends a message that is sometimes more powerful than any lesson: you belong here.
Alongside Genesis and Rhea, our program continues to be supported by a growing community of female volunteers and interns who give their time, skills, and mentorship to the girls in our program. Week after week, these women show up — not just to teach technology, but to demonstrate what it looks like to be a woman who builds, creates, and leads in the digital world.
Our mission
More than skills — a path forward
Girls in Tech was built on a simple but urgent belief: that young women growing up in institutionalized homes deserve the same access to the digital economy as anyone else. Through consistent sessions, mentorship, and exposure to female role models in tech, we are working to close that gap — one girl at a time.
What you are helping build here is more than a program — it is a community of young women who are learning to see themselves as capable, creative, and ready for the future. Your generosity makes that possible, and we are truly grateful. We hope you will continue to walk this journey with us. These girls need consistent support, and your continued partnership is what allows us to show up for them every single week.
If you have questions or would like to connect with our team, we would love to hear from you.
With gratitude,
The YouMeWe Team
