Girls Education Support provides scholarships and stipends to young women in Ghana who have completed high school with good grades but lack funds for higher education. With only 12% of girls in rural areas accessing higher education and a dropout rate of nearly 30%, financial barriers limit their opportunities. Our initiative covers tuition and living expenses, allowing them to focus on their studies. So far, we've supported 150 women, and aim to support 20 more in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Financial barriers prevent many young women from continuing their studies after high school, leaving them with limited opportunities. Teenage pregnancy rates stand at 14%, further contributing to poverty and cutting off future prospects. Without financial support, these girls may turn to unsafe alternatives for survival, putting their education and future at risk.

With continued donor support, we can further lift women from poverty, reduce teenage pregnancy rates, and drive sustainable growth in underserved communities.
