Learning and inspiring each other

Working Together

The season of Monsoon has come to an end in the village of Kharanitar. It is preparing for the big festival of Dashain with the girls finally getting a long holiday. Some of them have exams in their doorsteps while others are getting ready for the holiday.

Few of the girls are planning to utilize the seed grant to take tuition classes by coming to the capital city. As they move into higher grades they are struggling with subjects like English and Mathematics so are still taking up tuition classes. Few of the girls have bought encyclopedias and books on interesting world facts. They have been meeting up monthly to discuss on issues concerning their schools, their families and have also been playing games and quizzes in each of the meetings. One of the girls shared “ We feel like we have each other as support . We have developed a bonding through the program so I can share my feelings and my struggles with these girls.” Apart from aiding their studies the grant is also used up by some of the girls to still continue their driving lessons. Two others are inspired to take the driving lessons in the holidays.

Learning from each other and inspiring each other the girls are continuing and moving forward in their life. To witness the changes in their lives each day has been an amazing opportunity for Visible Impact as an organization and we are grateful to Global Giving for being able to make this difference.
