Journey ahead...the adventure the journey beholds!!

It’s been three years since the massive Earthquake of 2015. The girls are still on a journey to take control of their life. With new dreams and newer aspirations the girls are now embarking on  their own journey. Burdened by financial and social responsibilities the girls were afraid to dream and have aspirations however now with the seed grants that have been provided their journey has been easier and smoother.

The girls with SLC in their doorsteps have been using the funds for taking tuition classes. The subjects they require additional help in -Mathematics and Science are the ones they have been taking up in their tuition classes. Besides the help in their academics the girls have also utilized the fund jointly to buy story books, novels, and encyclopedia and quiz books. They have started sharing their knowledge with each other. In each of the space meetings they conduct they have been sharing what they’ve learnt as well as exchange their books and learn different things. This has expanded their knowledge beyond academics and they now know things of and around the world.

The four girls have been continuing their Science Lab classes. They are still learning new things in lab classes like making different gases, testing the acidic and basic nature of chemicals. They were also excited to learn about animal and plant cells. The girls who have been taking up the computer classes are also on a journey to discover more about technology. Learning to make presentations and use of clip arts and animations in power point fascinated them the most. They were happily sharing their experiences of how one could rotate or make a word jump using the animations. They were excited to learn more and explore new stuffs.

With the dream of pursuing engineering, two of the girls are still taking up lessons on the Engineering software and are excited that the classes have been useful for them and they have been exploring and learning different things from it.

The dreams of these girls are still in the budding stage. It’s been exciting to see the girls’ passion in the field of STEM as well as their dedication and determination. They still have a long way to go. The support provided has started showing a positive impact on the lives of the girls. We want to be able to contribute more on their steps further; therefore we will require your continuous support on this. We will keep updating on their journey and till then keep supporting us!!
