As the whole world is going through a very bad phase due to COVID 19 and schools have not opened for childredn not yet. However Rasta is reaching to children by conducting classes through online/basic phone/giving worksheets etc. Besides formative assessment, various extracurricular activities like Music Classes, Art and Craft, Celebration of various festivals etc, were also conducted for children aimed at nurturing the latent talents and holistic development of children. Teachers were given technical training to enhance their teaching skills. Assessment was done as a tool to know progress of the students but it was a big challenge for us to assess students in this pandemic period as most of the students have no facility of smart phone. Also there was problem of recharging and network connectivity. In this situation teachers attended the school and distributed printed assignments through parents. The worksheets were sent through whatspp to the students having smart phones.
Absence of class room teaching is impacting students in various ways. Also facing technological challenges like internet connectivity, recharge, non-availability of phones (as parents take phones with them while going out for work) etc. But we are trying our best to give quality education to our childredn.
