Two out of every three children are affected by chronic stress and those in poverty feel it more than others. That stress is toxic and has a profoundly negative impact on a child's ability to learn in school. In many cases, this prevents achievement and contributes to the repeated cycle of generational poverty. Inner Explorer is committed to unlocking human potential and fostering well-being for millions of students and teachers through the daily practice of mindfulness.
In the past year, Inner Explorer has been able to help nearly 300,000 students in more than 10,000 classrooms reduce stress and improve academic performance. As you consider your holiday giving, we invite you to join us as we work to change the world, one student at a time.
Research has shown a positive impact of mindfulness programs on kids' academic performance. Inner Explorer has developed a method of bringing mindfulness to kids & their families, both at school & home. The model, based on Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) protocol, includes age & stage appropriate programming to support PreK to High School kids' & teachers' success. Program delivers automated, audio-guided practice, allowing teachers to easily run the program with minimal training.
Our mindfulness programs in schools can 'Break the cycle of poverty & despair by reducing stress and enhancing brain function while increasing compassionate action'. The more days a student practices, the greater the academic improvements. Mindful students practicing daily will have a cascading effect on their relationship ultimately helping heal our global community.
