We would like to thank you for encouraging us in our journey to empower girls through education. Our programs are going strong in close to 4500 schools have received the creative learning kit. They are now imparting child centric learning sessions to the girls. This would have not been possible without your support and cooperation.
Thanks for your continuous support and contribution. With this we have achieved our target for the project “Gift learning kit to rural girls”.
60% girls in Rajasthan are child brides, Educate Girls send them to school instead. Please visit our project, “Child Brides: Send them to School instead” and continue supporting us.

Educate Girls is 5 years old!

You will be happy to know that, Educate Girls' completed five years on 5th December 2012. The last five years wouldn’t have been possible without your support and encouragement. We take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us in this journey.
We have been implementing the project “Gift Learning Kits to Rural Girls” in Pali and Jalore districts and have successful provided learning kits to 4,350 rural schools.
Over the last six months we provided close to 1000 kits to rural schools and we now require your support to reach out to the remaining 75 schools in Jalore.
Please support us and help us make learning fun for the girls who are waiting for their learning kits.

Afroza Banu, the Rising Star!

Educate Girls' considers Afroza Banu a legend. Afroza means a morning star! She tells us, "I want to shine, day and night." Her husband's illness and the responsibility of taking care of three young children did not break Afroza's courage. Her education has been her greatest strength. Afroza is a Team Balika* member and enjoys sharing her greatest asset, education with the girls in her village. Afroza conducts fun sessions with children using Educate Girls' creative learning techniques. She uses the magic calculator to make number work easy for them. She uses stories and pictures to teach them alphabets and words. Afroza, is certainly is a star performer for Educate Girls! Afroza says,
"Creative methods of teaching go a long way in keeping children in school. The children not only enjoy their time in school, but it also boosts their desire to learn more." Help Team Balika* members like Afroza to make learning fun. Support us and give every school in Pali district a creative learning kit. *Team Balika members are champions for girl child education. They support all the programs at the schools as well as village communities to ensure enrollment and retention of every girl child in schools along with provision of quality education to them.
