(Project # 64097 from Balajothi Centre for the Disabled)
Funding goal :$10,00,000 / Funds raised to date :$511
Project Report due date : Oct 22, 2025 / Report sent on Oct 14, 2025
Balajothi Centre for the Disabled Trust, a non-profit organization based in Bengaluru, India, believes in the essential role of creating well-trained caregivers to provide quality service and dignity of life to seniors in their last days. We seek to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds, to pursue fulfilling careers in geriatric care through comprehensive training and support. We also aim to enhance seniors' quality of life by promoting home-caregiving as a viable career option.
Through this project we aim to train educated candidates who will be trained to play the role of caregivers to seniors, thus reducing the pressure and burden on families. Selected candidates will be provided in-house theoretical and practical training, entirely free, at the end of which they will return to their villages and apply themselves in serving the seniors and the profoundly disabled persons. These candidates will be paid stipend during training and salary on completion.
