Balajothi Centre for the Disabled Trust, non-profit organisation, believes in the essential role of creating well-trained caregivers to ensure quality of life and dignity to seniors. Our mission is to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds to pursue fulfilling careers in geriatric care through comprehensive training and support. We also aim to enhance seniors' quality of life by promoting home-caregiving as a viable career option and providing information on industry trends and employment.
As population is increasing the seniors number is also increasing, and the need for geriatric care is growing in leaps and bounds. Sad to say support to lead a quality and healthy life is diminishing with the result senior citizens are in dire need of geriatric care to live their last days with dignity and peace. The result is these seniors are left unattended and uncared for. Poverty and economic conditions play a major role and the of families in coping with this syndrome is ever growing.
Through this project we aim to train educated candidates who will be trained to play the role of caregivers to seniors, thus reducing the pressure and burden on families. Selected candidates will be provided 8 week in-house theoretical and practical training, entirely free, at the end of which they will return to their villages and apply themselves in serving the seniors and the profoundly disabled persons. These candidates will be paid stipend during training and salary on completion.
