One in seven children in Japan live in poverty, and one of their key efforts to address this issue is the "children's cafeteria," where children can eat alone for free or at a low cost. These cafeterias have expanded as hubs for supporting families with children and fostering community interaction, with approximately 5,000 in operation nationwide as of December 2020.
